Yoga has changed my life. And it is my deepest honor to share this practice of awareness and acceptance with others. Please, come as you are. Lay down your mat. Sit, breathe, listen, be. Stretch your body, expand your mind, open your heart. Explore movement to arrive at stillness. Embody presence on the mat... and off. Endless gifts are waiting.
After discovering a life-changing connection to yoga and meditation during cross-country travels and exploring yoga as an antidote to the freneticism of urban living, Nicole realized that she wanted to share the gifts of this practice with others. She completed both her 200-hour and 500-hour Yoga Teaching Certifications at Yoga Tree San Francisco, studying with gifted and passionate teachers, including Judith Hanson Lasater, Harvey Deutch, Britt Fohrman, Brenna Geehan, Sean Haleen, Darcy Lyon, Charu Rachlis, Jane Austin, and Darren Main. Nicole began teaching yoga in San Francisco in 2013.
Focused on the psychophysical benefits of yoga, Nicole specializes in Restorative, gentle, and prenatal modalities, drawing movement inspiration from the realms of physical therapy, the Feldenkrais method, massage, sports medicine, and therapeutic yoga. Her style is warm and hands-on with a compassionate touch, creating and holding space for students to be who, what, and where they are. She lived in San Francisco's eclectic Haight Ashbury neighborhood for 13 adventure- & yoga-filled years, before moving to Seattle, Washington, in early 2016. Nicole is now the Studio Manager at Seattle Yoga Arts, where she also teaches weekly classes, a monthly Restorative sound bath, workshops, & trainings. She is registered as an RYT-500 with the Yoga Alliance. When Nicole is not teaching, she can be found outdoors (probably near big water, big trees, and/or big mountains), around food (either cooking it or eating it), and/or listening to great music.
